FAQs and Testimonials

  • Why music?
Music is special: there's nothing else like it. It's a genuine mix of language, art, maths, science, technology, and much, much more. Making music with your team or your family is a guaranteed way to open new channels of communication, and make memorable experiences that have a lasting impact. It might sound a bit dramatic, but music-based events like ours are often life changing!
  • Where are you based?
We live in North Yorkshire, but we've got links all over the UK, and we're willing to travel. It doesn't matter whether you're in Aberdeen or Zennor, we'd love to hear from you!
  • How much space do you need?
It varies, depending on the event - different instruments take up different amounts of space! If you've got a particular space in mind, send us a message and we'll get in touch to help make plans.
  • How many people can take part?
Each event is different - some work with 15 people, some with 500! Rough estimates are listed on each workshop or event page; if your numbers fall outside of that, do let us know, and we can work something out!
  • I have an idea that isn't on your site. Can you help?
We're always happy to hear about new ideas - just get in touch and we'll gladly discuss your plans.
  • I don't play an instrument - can I still take part?
Absolutely! All of our programmes are flexible, and designed to accomodate everyone, regardless of their experience, confidence, or prior knowledge. Whether you're a long-time rock god, or a first time toe-tapper, there'll be something for you to learn and enjoy.

Testimonials

Paul McArthur's Kings of Cool were fab! We had so much fun at their launch (and a good dance!) There was a good mix of music - not the same old pop that you can hear anyone play. You can tell they love the music they're playing, which always makes such a difference.
